Min Nanna · From Grandma

Nearly every Maltese family
had a grandmother
who fed them.

Maybe she still does. Maybe her recipes are kept now in someone else’s hands — a daughter’s, an aunt’s, a son who learnt by watching. The food carries on regardless.

Mananni exists to keep that table set. Ftira at midday, ross il-forn on Sunday, kannoli when there’s something to celebrate. We don’t rewrite the recipes. We just make sure they keep being served.

Story of the Week

The same card that
sits on your table.

Each week a new story behind one dish, one supplier or one kitchen saying. Read it here, then find it waiting at the table.

Il-Familja · The Family

Entrusted with the recipes.

Ġewwa · Inside

There’s a specific quality of light here at 7pm.

Niċċelebraw · Let’s Celebrate

Every Maltese family does this on Sunday.
We just do it in public.
